Silent Night

This is a violin and guitar duet. The violin has the melody throughout but the arrangement is intended specifically for the intermediate level guitarist, even though the guitar will be accompanying the violinist.

The motif is calming and meditative in nature. The violin part is simple, but strive for different tone colors and usage of swelling dynamics. The guitar part is very simple both for RH and LH. The norm throughout is one LH position per chord change, with a similar RH finger pattern throughout. The challenge is having the strength to hold some lengthy barred chords while maintaining a clear and consistent tone. Enjoy this Christmas duet!
