Christ the Lord is Risen Today

While in Wales last month, I met a pastor who plays the trumpet. Always eager to expand my repertoire, I offered to write an arrangement for the church. I chose this accompaniment style while picturing a full wind band led by a trumpet choir. My goal was a full sound, without being too difficult for the pianist. The second verse begins more muted, and ends in triumph, celebrating the resurrection of Christ. Separate parts for both C and B flat trumpet included.
