Erik Hanson serves as the Assistant Pastor at Stanfordville Baptist Church in Hallstead, Pennsylvania, focusing on music, preaching, and youth ministries. Further, he has over 16 years of pastoral experience and over 30 years of church music ministry experience. Erik has a B.Mus. and M.Mus. in Piano Performance, M.Div. (Church Music concentration), and a DMin in Preaching and Leadership. He and his wife, Bethany, have been married for 15 years and enjoy ministering together both in church ministry and by providing sacred music at churches across the country. Further, Erik has served as a conference and workshop speaker, particularly in the areas of music and worship. He contributes as a writer to Proclaim and Defend, a ministry blog of Foundations Baptist Fellowship International (FBFI), and has written articles for FBFI’s Frontline magazine. Erik composes congregational hymns, instrumental, and choral music, and has studied composition for several years with Joan Pinkston and David Rasbach. He has music published with Soundforth/Lorenz, Choristers Guild, and Grace For All. In addition, he teaches piano and voice students, both in person and online, and has trained over 100 students for more than 20 years.
